CAB Flex · policy v1

Pay over time.
CAB Flex is an optional, interest-free way to pay an approved CAB project balance over time. Your project price is determined first. CAB Flex only determines how an approved balance may be paid. Flex requires CAB approval, a starting payment, an accepted agreement and a defined payment schedule.
CAB Flex payments from $542/month. No hard personal credit check on eligible options. Your project price is decided first — Flex only decides how an approved balance is paid.
Check my optionsHow it works
- 01Your project scope and price are approved first.
- 02You tell CAB the monthly amount and payment date that fit your business.
- 03CAB reviews it against published Flex policy and returns clear terms.
- 04You review the agreement — total, starting payment, payments, dates, everything.
- 05Your starting payment clears, and work begins.

If something goes wrong
Missed payments are handled plainly. CAB retries, reminds you, and gives you a 7-day grace period. If an account stays unresolved while a project is in development, the project goes on a temporary hold and resumes automatically once you're current. For applications CAB hosts, a warning comes at day 15 and services may pause at day 21. CAB only ever pauses services it controls — never your own developer accounts, hosting or infrastructure — and a paused app shows a neutral notice. Nothing about your account is ever made public.
Start with a plan
Flex is requested from your client portal once your project price is approved. Start by planning your app — it takes a few minutes and there's no cost.

CAB Flex is an optional, interest-free installment arrangement offered on approved Columbus App Builders projects. It does not change the total project price and it is not a loan or a line of credit. CAB Flex is available only after a project, its scope and its price are known. Eligibility. Projects under $5,000 generally use standard milestone payments or approved third-party financing where available; CAB may make exceptions. Projects from $5,000 to $9,999 require a minimum starting payment of 35% with terms typically up to 6 months. Projects from $10,000 to $24,999 require a minimum starting payment of 25% with terms typically up to 12 months. Projects of $25,000 or more use a recommended starting payment of 25 to 30% with terms typically up to 12 to 18 months. Starting payment. CAB Flex activates only after the required starting payment clears. Approval alone does not begin work. Autopay and payment dates. Scheduled payments are collected on the payment date you select. CAB may require an authorized payment method to remain on file for the duration of the arrangement. Reminders and grace. A reminder is sent 5 days before each scheduled payment. If a payment fails, CAB retries on days 1, 3 and 5 and sends a final grace warning on day 5. An unresolved payment becomes past due after a 7-day grace period. Development holds. If a payment remains unresolved after the grace period while a project is in development, the project is placed on a temporary hold. Development resumes automatically once the account becomes current. Project information is never deleted because of a hold. Live service suspension. For applications CAB controls and hosts, an account that remains overdue receives a suspension warning at day 15 and becomes eligible for suspension at day 21. CAB suspends only services it contractually and technically controls. CAB does not disable or remove client-owned Apple Developer accounts, Google Play accounts, independent hosting or independent infrastructure. Suspended applications display a neutral notice; CAB never publicly discloses payment or account information. Reinstatement. When an overdue balance clears, CAB recalculates the balance, removes any development hold, restores eligible CAB-managed services and continues the project. Repeated defaults. Two unresolved defaults within 6 months, or three failed scheduled-payment episodes during an agreement, may trigger review or revocation. CAB may then require revised terms, a higher advance payment, standard milestones, or the remaining balance before continued development. Payment-processor errors alone are not defaults. Early payoff. The remaining balance may be paid in full at any time with no early-payment penalty. Scope additions. CAB Flex covers approved scope only. New scope is quoted separately and may be paid upfront, added to Flex, or require a separate Flex review. New work is never silently added to an existing agreement. Exposure limits and progress. CAB uses internal exposure limits and payment-to-progress guidelines (approximately 25% paid to begin, 50% for core progression, 75% for advanced development and 90% or more for production deployment eligibility). These are guidelines by project type, not universal hard rules. Go-live. Under standard CAB Flex an application does not go live until the required payment threshold is reached. Extended CAB Flex may permit live deployment with a balance outstanding when the account is current, autopay is authorized, CAB controls the relevant deployment, policy permits it, the agreement contains suspension provisions and exposure remains within limits. Extended Flex may require manual review. Adjustments. Clients may request a change of payment date, a short extension or a revised schedule. Requests may be auto approved, sent for review or declined. Data retention. Suspension does not automatically delete project records, build data, configuration or client files. CAB retains project data for at least 90 days before any termination procedure. Agreement. Before activation CAB presents the total project price, starting payment, remaining balance, number of payments, payment amount, payment dates, grace period, development-hold and suspension rules, reinstatement, early payoff, scope rules and the policy version in effect. CAB Flex begins only after the agreement is accepted and the starting payment clears.
